Just got this from StrategiCon, we'll have to see how this year works out whether we can make the whole con, but hopefully be able to hit one day.
It's beginning to look a lot like OrcCon!
It's that time of year, again — gaming season! And we at Strategicon are kicking it into high gear. This year's OrcCon (February 17th-20th 2012) is going to be one of the best yet and you're not going to want to miss it! Here are just a few things you can look forward to at the Con:
Miniatures
HMGS/PSW presents The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game - The Siege of Minas Tirith. Command the Citadel Guard of Minas Tirith and they fight to keep the Orcs of Mordor away from the walls of their fair city. Hundreds of hand painted miniatures represent the forces of good and evil in this fun game where effective use of your heroes are the key to victory. By Larry Stehle and the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society/Pacific Southwest. Saturday at noon and 8:00pm in the Miniatures Room.
Meet the Developer
Meet Spiel Des Jahres Winning Game Designer Dirk Henn at Orccon 2012
Dirk Henn, the designer of SDJ 2003 winner Alhambra, Showmanager/Atlantic Star, Wallenstein/Shogun and many more will make his U.S. convention debut at Orccon 2012. Dirk is one of the most popular designers in Germany and Strategicon is thrilled to bring him our to Southern California for our biggest convention of the year. Play Dirk's modern classics with him in large-scale events for each of his major games, playtest new titles and join him for a Q&A session about his ludography and craft. Queen Games will be helping sponsor many of our events so don't miss this chance to Play With The Creator!
