So day 1 of Anime Conji was really fun. We started off getting our badge, which was really professional considering it's their third year. One of the first things we did was head over the Origin of Manga panel. A really informative panel that taught us all a lot more about the origin of Manga, including the origin of the word in 1814. We then hit the dealer floor, having a look around, lots of artists in the artist's alley. (See next post for the artists located there, some really nice art at some of those booths.) Next we went to the Adventure Time Fanel (fan panel), we watched some clips, there was a dance contest for a prize, as well as a costume contest, lots of laughs and fan fun. We made our way to the game room to check out what was going on there. Strange set-up, having the Lan Party in the same room as the Table-top games, There were lots of Settlers of Catan boxes, and such, we'll check them out some more tomorrow; hopefully something is hopping, cuz I know we'd like to do some gaming!! Though we did get a little bit of gaming done, video gaming that is, old-school, Nintendo style. The boys actually enjoyed playing Duck Hunt, some Street Fighter and others.
