Updates

Interface Zero
So with the upcoming Malmart Catalog by a new author, I will be releasing my unpublished stuff on here.I'll also be publishing my personal campaign numbers based upon the original documents for IZ which had some slightly higher numbers. However, with the Savage Rifts take on advanced polymers adding to TOUGHNESS of armors, I'm going to revamp some of those original armors with a Toughness bonus instead. I might also replace some of the supplemental armors with Toughness bonuses instead. Especially the Bombs on Broadway line.

DCC
I'm currently working on a Sprawl Crawl Classics inspired DCC campaign. I've been brainstorming for the last week, and I must say it's pretty freaking cool.

You're not a hero,
You're an Umbral Raider
A Graft
A Breaker
A Transmogrifier
A Weaver crawling through the AetherMesh

You seek Script & Secrets
Success through obfuscation and instinct
Bathed in the Gore of the unfortunate,
the Broken, the fallen and the Shattered

There is power to be won in the Umbra
Time to seek Jack in the Shadows...

Classes include
The Graft
The Mog
The Weaver
The Breaker
The Hedge
The Penumbra
The Entombed
Gits (Halfling)
Elf
Hodgepodge (unstable goblin races)
Chimeer (Humanoid Chimera)
Ogre
Dwarf

Hark, NerdCon approaches

This weekend is NerdCon (check the banner on the page), if you're in San Diego you might want to check it out. We missed it last year because we decided to go to EsCon, which was very fun. But this year, they're not on the same day, thus we're going to hit the Escondido Center for the Arts and see what it's all about.

Last year it was one day only, but it was a huge success and is both weekends now. If you're still playing Pokemon Go, well expect lots of lures to be down at Grape Day park, which is where the Center for the Arts is.

Word of caution, traditionally, Grape Day is a large park and as such you should be on the alert for danger.

I will report back on the gaming if any that is to be had at the convention. I will also be posting pictures on my InstaGram. epic_rpg_blog i have 14 followers, let's get MORE.

I'm also going to be expanding to the YouTubes later as well, for video reviews, unboxing and game reports.

Gam3rCon & Beyond

So Gam3rCon was fun despite the changeover of coordination which lead to some confusion.

Prize support was great this year. THREE PS4s were given away at the con. One was available via Dragon Coins (and went immediately when they changed it from 1 person getting enough coins to get it to being able to combine coins, which we would have been able to do first night.)

The second was a Raffle Prize, Which one of the DCC Community, Mario Torres won!

The Third was the most exciting, it was a Drawn to Death version and was the top prize for the Gam3rLympics event, which included Mario Kart 8, Kubb, Star Wars XWing, Sorry and several other events. Ian finished 3rd.

To be a more modern blogger, I now have an Instagram account, and that will be my primary blogging. I think I'll try out some YouTube for reviews as well. My Instagram is epic_rpg_blog, follow me if you follow me here.

I have decided to stay with EpicRPGBlog for the site.

Reboot thoughts.

So I'm not sure where I'm going with the blog. The boys are nearly grown up now, I'm thinking of changing it up. I might start with an entirely new entity, I'm just not sure. I know I would like to get a non-profit for education thing going...Like it was in the old days. This would allow me to run some mini cons etc.

I'd also like to start up a YouTube channel, for interviews and unboxing reviews. Some games just lose a lot when it's a text review, but when they're PRETTY that's where video is awesome.

If you have advise on how to monetize, let  me know, I'd love for the non-profit to cover expenses to attend more cons.

I'm also more interested in covering all aspects of gaming, especially war games these days.

SIX MONTHS!!! REALLY?

OK Life has definitely been hectic.

FREE RPG Day is once more coming upon us, this year I will be at Villainous Lair with Bill, and any of the Villainous Slayers that show up.

What will I run? No clue, I ran a Paranoia FATE of the COMPLEX game at Kingdom Con, but I could EASILY run it again.

I could run the Fallout of the Atomic AGE game, which didn't happen at KC.

Saturday June 18th

This year San Diego is RIF with options. However that many options means more more choices, and a less dense play demographic.

North County:
Pair-a-Dice games

Miramar Area
At Ease Games
Game Empire

San Diego
Villainous Lair

TIME FLIES

Man Time really does fly.

So 5 years ago I started this blog when my kids were but wee laddies. Now they're 16 year old young men.

I'm going to be getting them to step-in and write more. We're going to attempt to reboot the blog in the next couple months. Really get things moving again.

First up, those top 5 lists are so out of date. So we're going to revamp those lists.

Next up, the boys have opinions about games too, especially video games. So I'm going to get them to get on here and start expressing those opinions. They have a video game design club and are avid artists. So we will be pushing out some of that art work on here as well. Especially their amazing first projects of the year...

Stand By for the REBOOT!
