TOP 5 Lists

Ron's Top 5 RPGs - 2015 edition.

Can't believe how much this list has changed in the last 4 years. This new list is a change reflected by old school leanings, and new school products.

Honorable Mention: D&D5E While D&D 5e is no where near my favorite system, I think Hasbro, through Wizards has finally made a great version of the Most Popular Role-playing game int he World.

5. Earthdawn 4th Edition
FASA returned 2 years ago with a pretty big Kickstarter edition.  I'm even on the development team.

4. Fantasy AGE
This is a really fun looking system, and while I haven't played it yet, I'm really excited to start running it.
3. Numenera
A Fun system that only has a minor issue, that dreaded d20. A Quick swap to 2d10 fixes that. Giving a nice central average.

2. Paranoia
(Pure fun, the rules are usually more of a guideline in this dystopic world run by your friend the Computer)

1. Dungeon Crawl Classics
What can I say, the gonzo over the top aspect of this game really appeals to me. as well as the easy stat blocks.

Hell on Earth Reloaded
Since Pinnacle has finally returned Hell On Earth to print in the Savage Worlds Deluxe formate,

1. [Insert setting here]

Epic Prime's Top 5 Gamemaster Must haves for Pathfinder (beyond the core)

Of Course you need to have the Core book, and the first Bestiary, but what are the best books for your buck for gamemastering Pathfinder to create an amazing game?

5. Ultimate Magic

4. Ultimate Combat

3. Advanced Race Guide

2. Advanced Bestiary (Green Ronin 3.5 version, easy to convert)

1. Advanced Player's Guide

Epic Prime's Top 5 RPGs - 2011 edition.

5. Pathfinder
(while it's an improvement over 3.5 edition it's not perfect. The Advanced Player's Guide, Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat make the game much better than it's 3.5 predecessor. And this being the most popular of my favorite systems with others, makes it the default for play)

4. Paranoia
(Pure fun, the rules are usually more of a guideline in this dystopic world run by your friend the Computer)

3. Earthdawn 3rd Edition
(RedBrick Ltd brings Earthdawn back through Mongoose Publishing's Flaming Cobra Imprint)

2. Savage Worlds
(Great Base system for Fast Furious Fun, use one of the unique settings such as Interface Zero, Deadlands or Day after Ragnarok for even more FFF.)

1. Dresden Files RPG
(Fate system set in the Dresdenverse.)
